Question on Any Video Encoder

I wanted to save some of my video files from youtube and turn them to WMVs after loosing some files on my PC. Now although I have set the login thing on AVE, it cant seem to login (I have triple and quadruple checked the passwords) ... so I got another free program to download the flv files from Youtube, thinking I could then convert to WMVs afterwards.... but AVE then just sits for an hour saying Encoding, 0%.

I have looked in the help section and cant find anything... what am I missing, or can you reccomend another free (legal) program?

maltman
I apologize for the cross-posting. I'd love it if some of you guys wouldn't mind checking out the early trailer to my feature, "Hold The Mayo". It's of the drama/comedy type.

Starring Anthony Pinggera
Written/Directed by Hunter Altman

(PS theres a chance that I posted a trailer to my first feature, DRIHY, here, a few years back. That film has been finished and I'm working on self-distributing it in the near future.)

un-related to the program to
audition with as well.

We need 2 men,
between 20 and 30 and 1 woman

Characters:

Ricky: He is the main
character and does alot of talking to the camera.
He is pretty straight
forward but has an unhealthy obsession with pop culture.

PLANETFALL wins 2006 Telly Award [08 Mar 2007|02:18pm]

mlif
[ mood | jubilant ]

The Carschool Film-O-Rama movie Planetfall has been honored this year with a Telly Award in the category of "Low Budget" which is under $700 a minute (ours is about $150/Min!)

The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. Since 1978, their mission has been to strengthen the visual arts community by inspiring, promoting, and supporting creativity. The 27th Annual Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents. All judges are top advertising and production professionals, and past Telly Winners. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work — entries do not compete against each other. Instead, entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Judges score entries on a performance scale and entries are recognized and awarded as Silver or Bronze Winners based on the combined scoring of the judges who evaluate each entry. Empowered to uphold the historical standards of the Telly competition, judges may award top honors to more than one entry or no entries in a particular category. Silver Winners are awarded a Silver Telly statuette, the highest honor. Bronze Winners are awarded a Bronze Telly statuette. Designed by the same firm that makes the Oscar and Emmy, the Telly statuette weighs more than 4 1/2 pounds.

Planetfall walks away with a bronze which puts it in the top 18-25% of entries!

For more info on the Telly Awards go to: www.tellyawards.com

Plantfall is an independently produced sci-fi/western from Minneapolis-based Carschool Film-o-Rama, Inc. The title is now available on DVD from Heretic Films.
